It is a novel corona virus – that is to say, a member of the corona virus family that has never been encountered before. Like other corona viruses, it has come from animals. Many of those infected either worked or frequently shopped in the Huanan seafood wholesale market in the centre of the Chinese city, which also sold live and newly slaughtered animals. New and troubling viruses usually originate in animal hosts. Ebola and flu are examples.

Common human corona viruses, including types 229E, NL63, OC43, and HKU1, usually cause mild to moderate upper-respiratory tract illnesses, like the common cold. Most people get infected with these viruses at some point in their lives. These illnesses usually only last for a short amount of time. Symptoms may include

• runny nose
• headache
• cough
• sore throat
• fever
• a general feeling of being unwell

ECONOMIC IMPACT OF CORONA VIRUS

The world is not connected only through the Internet but also through its markets. The global markets operate in a chain with China forming the second biggest block of the economic chain. And, China is currently on a massive lock down in one of its key provinces, Hubei to contain corona virus outbreak. Hubei’s capital, Wuhan is the transport hub in China earning the name of “thoroughfare of China”. All transport is stationed till further orders here.

China is the second biggest economy of the world. Any fluctuation in the GDP growth rate projection in China’s economy is bound to impact the global slowdown. India’s struggle to reverse the sliding GDP growth rate is already a global worry. The corona virus outbreak has aggravated the headache of global economy watchers and managers.

The corona virus has already started effecting the stock exchange of China as well as other connected countries for ex-: India,US,Europe. They are experiencing a downfall in there market index after the outbreak of virus is there. China’s two major cities Shenzhen and Shanghai are experiencing a downfall of 3.52 percent and 3.75 percent in the stock market.
